The design was a simple yet stylish pool and garden that would enhance the architecture of the house.
This design’s challenge was the limited space. A combination of timber surrounds, sandstone and lush foliage creates interest and a striking showpiece. Screen plantings and a timber screen were used to hide the boundary fence and offer privacy. The existing rock ledge was used to design a rockery with plants selected suitable for coastal conditions.
With most of the entertaining occurring around the pool, an outdoor kitchen was essential. A BBQ and sink with fridge hidden underneath means the owners do not have to leave the backyard when cooking. The bench top was tiled to match the pool and merbau timber used for both decks linking the pool to the outdoor kitchen.
